State agency savings options for fiscal year 2025 and 2025-27 biennium
On Nov. 8, OFM Director Pat Sullivan sent a letter to state agency directors and others, outlining that revenue forecasts, rising costs, and expanding needs require reductions for Gov. Inslee to propose a balanced budget. Director Sullivan directed state agencies to propose budget savings options so the governor’s budget can focus on continuing essential services and addressing caseload increases. For more information on the budget situation and what we're asking of agencies, see:
NOTE: Documents reflect preliminary savings options identified by each agency. They do not necessarily reflect the priorities of Gov. Inslee or the agency. If a program or service reduction is listed does not mean the reduction will happen, or happen at the level shown. OFM will continue to work with agencies to review and refine savings options for the governor and Legislature to consider.
