Reasonable Accommodation Roundtables
Who these meetings are for
The Quarterly Reasonable Accommodation Roundtable is a community of practice for reasonable accommodation practitioners. The roundtables are held virtually and are open to everyone, but the focus is on RA practitioners and others who make technical decisions about implementation of RA within their organization.
What happens in these meetings
Discussions include the latest developments in the field, as well as space to share best practices. Topics covered include legal requirements, reasonable accommodations (what they are, how to identify and implement them), and case studies. Presentations may include information about limitations in providing reasonable accommodation under the law, specific inclusive and accommodation practices as well as situations where disability separation could occur. The discussions are hosted by the Washington State Office of Financial Management State Human Resources, Washington State Attorney General’s Office, and The Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues and Employment.
