OFFSET PRINTER OPERATOR LEAD
Definition
Lead assigned Offset Printer Operators and perform printing and related work.
Typical Work
Regularly assign, instruct and check the work of employees; ensure quality reproduction standards;
Inspect negatives for quality and position negatives on flats for plate making;
Perform routine equipment maintenance and repair;
Perform the duties of an Offset Printer Operator;
May prepare paste-up for cameras;
May prepare plate and master files;
Perform related duties as required.

Persons legally authorized to work in the U.S. under federal law, including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients, are eligible for employment unless prohibited by other state or federal law.
Desirable Qualifications
Three years of full-time experience operating offset printing equipment with at least 11 X 18 inch plates. Completion of an offset reprographics/printer course may be substituted for up to one year of work experience.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
