Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards accepting nominations

OLYMPIA - Serve Washington is accepting nominations for the 14th annual Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards, which recognize individuals, volunteer groups and families for their volunteer efforts. The awards honor some of Washington’s most dedicated persons and groups for their commitment to volunteerism as the foundation for caring communities and a thriving Washington.
A team of judges will review applications to select up to 14 individual awards, three national service awards and three group awards for these individual criteria:

Honorees will be recognized at the Volunteer Service Awards ceremony to be held Monday, April 9, 2018, at the Executive Mansion in Olympia. The Seattle Mariners will invite honorees to be recognized during a pre-game ceremony at Safeco Field in conjunction with the Seattle Mariners Salute to Volunteers Night the following week on Monday, April 16, 2018.
The deadline to submit nominations is 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018. All nominations must be submitted via the online form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GVSA-Nomination2018 unless alternate format accommodations are requested.
