Pierce College Olympic South Asbestos Abatement and Restoration

Funding is provided to Pierce College for asbestos abatement, interior demolition and reconstruction of the Olympic South classroom building. During a remodel of the first floor, contractors discovered asbestos throughout the building. Abatement and demolition are underway. This funding will reimburse the college for abatement and demolition expenses and enable the college to proceed with reconstructing the building interior and replace mechanical systems, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
