Typical Work
Repair broken windows in wood sash, metal sash, steel sash, aluminum sash, lead and zinc sash, by removing broken glass and putty and installing new glass and putty;
Cut and seam glass, drill holes, place finger pulls in glass, cut glass tubs, bottles, tubing;
Make, install, or repair desk tops, table tops, glass doors, etc.; repair mirrors, glass light fixtures, plastic fixtures;
Rebuild windows, re-glaze new or used sashes; use ladders and staging platforms;
Replace and repair automotive glass, windshields; construct boxes, brackets, fish tanks of glass and plastic; install stained glass;
Develop preliminary cost estimates for installations and repairs;
Drive service truck as required; load and unload materials and supplies;
May lead and instruct helpers as required;
May perform work in other trades;
Perform related duties as required.
